TOTO'S ECOPOWER FAUCET AND AQUIA DUAL-FLUSH TOILET

The new EcoPower Faucet and Aquia Dual Flush Toilet from Toto may make it easy to be green. Imagine using the water to wash your hands as an energy source. Toto's EcoPower technology does just that. Powered by waste water, its miniature hydropower generator charges capacitors, which entirely power its own sensor-activated controls. During a 10-second cycle, the faucet discharges .17 gallons, which exceeds by 32% the .25 gallons per cycle (gpc) federal standard for low-flow water consumption. However, because the average use-cycle is less than 10 seconds, EcoPower's estimated per-user water discharge is closer to 0.1 gpc. New luxury spout designs include the modern Axiom, contemporary Helix, and traditional Fordham. Also new to Totos's line is the hiah-efficiency Aquia Toilet, which has both a light flush (.9 gpf) and full flush (1.6 gpf) option. The dual-button flush actuator is integrated into the lid.
